Toys Link Fodder
Geez, the escalation of small arms in the world of nerf is getting out of hand. Next thing we will see will have to be a vehicle mounted chain gun. ( thanks jer)

I am surprised that Mano hasn't thought of this and already given it as a gift.

Wow. I can really see myself becoming addicted to making plushie designs. The problem is, I couldn't sew them together. p.s. i think the girl narrating the video has a PhD in cuteness, or is at least working on it.

I wasn't the fan of Transformers as some of my friends are so this MP3 playing Sounwave will be pretty cool to them. Actually it's pretty cool to me too.

I once tried to describe why I liked war movies. Besides the flagrant use of heroes, it was something indescribable about the gear the soldiers wear. Something about a soldier decked out in survival gear always struck a chord with me, like the D&D adventurer decked out from a visit to the Provisioner Hut. I can see that other people have it in the way they do these 1/6th scale soldiers. The entire group is fun to browse.

Some day I will actually make a miniature D&D style tavern as impressive as this miniature Bag End.

Back when I first starting to create CD Covers, I would scan in favourite photographs from books I found at the library. The original to this legomogrification was one of my first.

I got some new Tachikomas today. My desk is under siege.

OMG, that is one kick-ass Kusanagi Motoko statuette !! I have a couple of "figures" of her (one of which recently took a header from the standing place and spilled feet and head in 3 different directions.. CRACK) but none compare to the detail on this one. Plus, its kind of demure for the Major which makes it more likely to be on display. ( thanks Nood!!)

These snowglobes fascinate the morbid side of me as well as well as the person who loves little diaramics. It's just too bad the site that posted the Snowglobes didn't mention the source of the images.

G.I. Joe was called Action Man in the UK ? So what did they do during the Cobra Commander era of the american counterpart? Well, they didn't make him smaller for one...

Kewl, and yes I should make that phrase a category of it's own, it's a blog dedicated to those oh-so-collectible vinyl toys called Vinyl Abuse.

I mentioned lightboxing items to be photographed the other day and part of it is choosing your background. You can go with white and have them float or you can choose a neat background for texture, like Rannie has done in the Flickr photos; just browse back for more.

I don't play the game nor watch the show but for some reason I love these Aqua Teen Heroclix.

I was saying to Marmy yesterday about how naive I was as a kid "playing guns" with homemade wooden guns and shouting out "Bang!" Today, kids can actually attact each other with harmless projectile weapons or even a not so harmless LEGO Flamethrower. Pretend war could be hell.

OMFG !! I can combine my obsession with paper craft and collectible japanese toys by just getting SHIN TANAKA schtuff !!

And just before you call me a hypocrite, I do remember that I own this statuette.

Meanwhile this one leaves me speechless.

Meanwhile I would have no problem sharing this statue of Motoko Aramaki with anyone who would care.

So, let's see, I am a bachelor seeking to meet some nice lady to share my life with. The first mistake I make is admitting I watch anime and the second mistake is taking her home to find a Shunya Yamashita PVC Statue in a prominent place on your shelf.

Just think Noods, when you fear the doldrums of your current career, you could still be back in the cubes.

I feel I could have this conversation with some of my friends. BTW, I am the one wearing the glasses.

One of Marmy and mine's lil jokes is whenever I see a man with a Hasselblad camera, I ask her to distract him (i.e. flash boobies) while I take his gear. We may require more distraction for the Hasselblad 39 megapixel DSLR.

Hrrrrhm, Figure FM a community site for Japanese toys & figures.

OK, I have a new obsession to add to my already well known one with Ghost in the Shell. Having watched all three DVDs & bought all four english language manga this weekend, I must have these Genshiken Trading Figures. And I mean all. ( heard about em from nood, got the link from dubdubdub)

I was never much of a Transformers fan, unlike my fellow usual suspects, but these Star Wars Transformers are kind of cool.

Gee is right, this is the best action figure ever. Now as for Mega Gir, all I can say is, "Grrrrrr..."
