Japan Link Fodder
When the pimply 23 year old girl gets into her badly made costume from an american adaption of a bad anime, this girl is who she is trying to emulate. Query. If a girl dresses as a male character is she a transvestite? Query. Is it really cosplay if all you do is put on a bikini? Answer. Only if in the lobby of a Con.

Really, I once again repeat, "The Japanese can be quite odd at times.

Wow. Japanese girls really like to complicate their fashion sense. Imagine if we could categorize NA girls this way? I mean, we can definitely play on the various punk girl styles but what the average fashionable types?

The Machine Girl has "japanese school girl" with a machine gun implant but, yknow, I still prefer a girl with a sword.

In Katamari, it sounded yummy but despite my allergies for things from the sea, the idea of Takoyaki still grosses me out. But I love how much finger food Japan has to offer.

I probably should have known that Rogers Blackberries do not work in Japan before I had a user take hers with her.

Yeah I always thought the kappa was a cool monster but I always wondered, if they were susceptible to having their "bowl" emptied, then why not just give them a swift kick and spill it?

I got some new Tachikomas today. My desk is under siege.

OMG, that is one kick-ass Kusanagi Motoko statuette !! I have a couple of "figures" of her (one of which recently took a header from the standing place and spilled feet and head in 3 different directions.. CRACK) but none compare to the detail on this one. Plus, its kind of demure for the Major which makes it more likely to be on display. ( thanks Nood!!)

Speaking of videos from Japan, how about some milk?

It's times like these that I love that I have a Japan category/tag. Yes, they are Candy That Makes You Horny, not that I need any.

OMFG !! I can combine my obsession with paper craft and collectible japanese toys by just getting SHIN TANAKA schtuff !!

Meanwhile I would have no problem sharing this statue of Motoko Aramaki with anyone who would care.

Yup yup, Tokyo ala Mode could be a fun site to watch even if I am biased.

I am pretty sure this Howl's Moving Castle Papercraft Model is featured in a Ghibli book but I dunno. Update: Ah, yes this is where I saw it. I assume the one for sale is the completed project though I cannot envision the shipping method. Oh, and their Flickr set is worth looking at.

I would also love to see this movie called Takeshi's , a self-created work of 'deconstruction' by Beat Takeshi.

I would like to see Salaryman Kintaro as it has a pretty great, non-standard-anime theme. The mother site, SaruDama, is pretty cool too.

With the connector connected to the connection on the TV, I am sure we could entertain ourselves all evening with TV in Japan.

Hrrrrhm, Figure FM a community site for Japanese toys & figures.

Hrrrm, a blog in Japan I will read for a while called HOYOYO. It has the usual anime & gadget interests which are mine as well, so...

Really, I cannot ignore a Japanese religious ceremony where people walk around holding a giant penis. I think this is safe for work.
OK, I want a bubble car. Warning: NSFCIB (not safe for cosplayers in background)

OK, I have a new obsession to add to my already well known one with Ghost in the Shell. Having watched all three DVDs & bought all four english language manga this weekend, I must have these Genshiken Trading Figures. And I mean all. ( heard about em from nood, got the link from dubdubdub)

Heh heh heh, they are Katamari Hijinks. I could hear the sound effects of cats and people as he tried to roll them up.

Seeing the pictures of the store called Sweet Kitty, The Anime Store it makes me think they took a half dozen Pacific Mall shops and shoved them into one environment.

I finished Katamari Damacy already?!?! Thank gawds there is so much re-playability. p.s. as i watched TV last night, I was guaging what size i would have to be in order to pick up elements of the set.

So last night we rented Katamari Damacy cuz the borrowed PS2 is still there. The rolling is neat but the music & story is truly genious.

I am blogging Antipixel purely for the sidelinks of other blogs in Japan.
