Apples Link Fodder
Remember when I mentioned that the Apple EFI 1.4 update corrupted the video on the MacBook Pros (previous version) when using BootCamp, now officially supported in Leopard? This long long forum post was recently locked so nobody else can add their woes to it. Booooooo Apple.

OK, so the guy who does Fake Steve Jobs is being sued... er, approached by Apple Lawyers. He is being completely transparent with his meetings. But what if this is just part of the fiction that is the blog?

I am not so surprised that the new OSX Leopard kinda sucks a little and Apple doesn't seem to care. What I am surprised about is that more people are not saying it. With MS I expect broken things; with Apple I didn't.

"Macs are infallible, macs never crash, macs are so easy to use... blah blah blah BLAH. " After installing the update, the networking on the gunmetal beastie just went kaflooie. It used to find servers automatically, so I could connect to the two PCs with no trouble. Now? Manual connects required. It used to find my "favourite" wireless connection, pull the password from the "keychain" and connect by itself. Now? Two or three clicks on same network connection are required to make it work. Stupid monkey.

Oooo it's about switching but it's Ultimate. P.S How long does it take to stop obsessing over the cleanliness of the macbook? I have two cats and a cat hair free keyboard is impossible. On my PC i just don't care but on this brushed metal look, it is very apparent.

Hee !! It's called iPhoney and it's a way I can get back into the web design / web building subset of computer geeks -- i will design pages only fit for an iPhone!! ( via airbag)

Call me a dolt but I didn't think they would have regional Mac ads. The british Mac doesn't seem as smarmy as the US one. We should do a Canadian version with Joey DeVilla and that guy from Dotto's Cafe.

Considering how few people there are in my phone's directory, this iPhone Shuffle makes me feel inadequate.

This guy has quite the Apple collection in his basement. It begs the questions of, "How?!?!" A similar PC one would not be so pretty and muuuuuch more chaotic.

Overheard at work from a guy on his BlackBerry, " iPhone coming to Canada." The funny thing is that we order our work smart phones via Rogers. The funnier thing is that this contract might be over by the time they are available and the execs are requesting them.

Despite the drop in RIM's stock price yesterday, I agree that iPhone is No Blackberry Killer. It's a personal device, not a business messaging device. But I cannot wait until the summer when I start getting requests for it. Unless it's from The Top, the answer will be, "Ummm... no." I wish it could be, "Yes but only if you let me play with it."

LMAO. I realized it's only going to be a few days before I start shouting, "It's only a phone !!" But until then I still understand Brent's sentiment.

This seems like a nice place to start for Mac Help, more for me than her.
