Big ol' zilch for me on most of them, but I looooved Joe Haldeman's 'The Forever War' (have the "original" print edition, as well as the later published "preferred author's edition").

It's thematically similar to Heinlein's 'Starship Troopers' (which I also read) but had more of a "human" element to it, with less satire.
